Multi Day Peak Performance Coaching

After a person attends a training program, he is faced with the task of implementing the skill and knowledge in the work environment.  Left to his/her own device, this may happen in varying degrees ~ from no use at all, to a high level of use.  There are many factors involved that will determine if, when, and how much a person will use the new skills.

These include:

  • the quality of the training
  • the nature of the training
  • the duration of the training
  • the transfer of knowledge to skill during the training
  • management expectations after the training
  • individual belief in skill level
  • individual desire to implement the skill
  • individual belief in usefulness of the new information (buy-in)
  • availability of support after the training

Organisations spend a great deal of time, effort and financial resource in providing training for employees.  The expected and desired outcome is a full realisation of that investment (ROI – Return on Investment).  Statistically we know that unsupported training results in a gradual loss over time.

This is represented in the typical “Bell-shaped Curve”.  With the loss of information and skill comes a general belief about training initiatives.  Employees can come to see unsupported training as “another flavour of the month initiative” and something that will gradually disappear and re-appear in another form as time goes by.

Coaching gives an organisation a way to get 100% ROI.  Done well, it provides the means for all training initiatives to maintain a presence in the organisation.  It prevents new skills and knowledge from being ignored, buried, and eventually lost.

The Alive & Kicking Coaching Program provides an ideal environment for organisations to explore, maintain and develop positive working cultures.  The course also offers the necessary skills for coaches in the environment to address such issues as:

  • Morale
  • Choosing the appropriate improvement tool
  • Understanding when Coaching IS the answer – as opposed to Training
  • How and why Operating Standards are critical to the coaching process
  • Monitoring skills to capture words & phrases used by the agent and customer
  • The ability to give useful feedback that enables an individual to improve their skills and performance
  • Designing effective development activities & tracking them across time
  • Managing the balance between employee and organisational needs
  • Coaching relationship vs the team leader relationship
  • Organisational behaviour

Course Statement of Purpose

The primary purpose of this course is to provide participants with a forum (coaching) to create the desired cultural behaviours, & specific team and individual performance outcomes for their working environment.  Through the workshops, participants will develop the skills, tools and processes to use coaching as a way and means to assist team members in meeting organisational requirements.  These requirements include (but are not limited to) KPIs, improving performance across a wide variety of hard and soft skills, improving and maintaining positive morale and increasing job satisfaction for all participants.
