Venue: Wentworth Plaza Hotel, Perth ~ 17th October 2012

Overview:

Join us for a surprising and fun workshop that will show you how to develop and implement company standards that increase your business results.

In this workshop you will learn how creating well defined standards:

· Reduces staff absenteeism, late starters and early finishers

  • · Increases staff commitment and motivation
  • · Maintains high level performance
  • · Keeps staff morale high
  • · Presents a consistent corporate image to customers
  • · Ensures all marketing messages and customer communications are consistent
  • · Creates a more enjoyable workplace

Your Standards are not Your Employees Standards

Every organisation has standards, and many companies mistakenly assume that all or their employees know what they are; how to interpret them, and align them to their company’s values, vision, and current initiatives with no misapplications, right?

We’ve learned to never assume.

After running hundreds of courses in all sorts of organisations we have continually found that this is not the case. Employee’s often have only a vague idea about what the company’s standards are and how they apply specifically to them.

That is why this is one of our most popular workshops.  The vast majority of participants to this workshop have roughly the same realization after about the first hour:

“I had no idea that standards needed to be so detailed! No wonder we are getting such inconsistent behaviour in the workplace!”

Workshop Outline

This workshop provides you with an in-depth exploration of the standards that exist in your own workplace.

It also reveals to you the implications of your company’s current state of standards.

Standards not only have to be created in the correct manner; they must also be communicated in the correct manner.

This hands-on workshop provides a very clear approach to examining the thoroughness and effectiveness of your organisation’s workplace standards.

It will show you how to make the necessary adjustments to improve them..

If your workplace has any of the following behaviours present, we suggest you need to explore the underlying reason these exist – it usually relates some way back to the organization’s standards:

  • · People coming in late, or arriving at various times, even though the start times are clearly documented.
  • · Various levels of work commitment – some of the staff are highly productive, some are hardly productive
  • · Workplace performance begins at high level from new employees, and then drops noticeably after a period of time
  • · Staff morale varies
  • · Inconsistent interpretation of ‘professional attire’, particularly among different age groups.

Standards Setting Skills for Leaders

In this Workshop you will explore the following topics to address the above elements that exist in any organization:

  • Key Performance Areas/Indicators and Performance Standards (targets) for their team members
  • How and why standards are created and how they are meant to be used
  • The importance of standards in the environment, and how to ensure all staff operate ‘from the same page’
  • How to effectively analyse performance information , and discuss its limitations when used alone
  • The Performance Management Process and where workplace Coaching fits in.

Come prepared: bring along some of your organisation’s standards, such as: job descriptions, dress codes, performance targets (workplace goals, sales targets), etc.

Places are limited, so book now to ensure your spot.

Without support for training/new skills, the new skills learned dissipate rapidly ~ along with the investment.

The Coaching Program provides an ideal environment for organisations to explore, maintain and develop positive working cultures.

The primary purpose of this course is to provide participants with a forum (coaching) to create the desired cultural behaviours, & specific team and individual performance outcomes for their working environment.

Through the 10 consequtive workshops, participants will develop the skills, tools and processes to use coaching as a way and means to assist team members in meeting organisational requirements. These requirements include (but are not limited to) KPIs, improving performance across a wide variety of hard and soft skills, improving and maintaining positive morale and increasing job satisfaction for all participants.

This course will ensure that the focus on succession planning and career development that is a focus for your team takes place.
